THANKSgiving weekend

mmmm so much to be thankful for. Mostly family. I would like to thank my sis for getting me out to Wyoming for the holiday. I'd like to thank mom for the driving to and fro, it was quite the adventure. And thanks to Joe and Rosie for coming over so I could see their little faces! We had a grand time. Eating, eating, and more eating. Carene and I's claim to fame was our magical gingerbread house that took 6 packages of NECCO's to formulate the roof. We sure had fun. LOVE my fam. mmmm somehow i dont have any pics of Rosie, Gram, or Brian. ooops! see carene's blog for me and rosie! :)

OMG!!! I thought this was soooooo funny. Just go to yearbookyourself.com, upload a photo and viola! do it its fun. I guess i had too much time on my hands, hehe. Life is good. Just working working working. And looking forward to my new little neice, whom I had a dream was 12 1/2 lbs! hopefully she is not really that big if she ever gets to come out of Etta's tummy and meet us!

Maybe its the stress of the 2nd job, maybe the thyroid, maybe I just eat too much. But the major concensous seems to be that I am getting fatter. Just ask the scale, it will tell you. I don't have all the answers but I am going to do something about it. Oh yes my friends it is that time of year again. RUNNING TIME!!!!! I checked into the Las Vegas half marathon but it is on Dec 7 which is waaayyy too soon. Since I cant make it out of my complex without stopping to walk yet... I think I will stick to the good ol' Huntington Beach the first week in February. Provided it doesn't rain me out like it did last year. But lets not focus on that. I purchased some new shoes for the event. They are ASICS GEL GT-2130's. Which are nothing fancy really... But I'm excited! Also, Lindsay got me a IPOD+Nike for my birthday, which I have yet to use. It is a little chip that hides in your shoe and connects to your ipod which maps out your distance, miles per hour, and even has workouts you can listen to while you are out there running in the wide open spaces. Not that we really have any of those in Las Vegas but you get the idea. So with my new toys in hand I am ready to brave the streets of Las Vegas and get back into running... which really for me is a lope/saunter but who's counting?

Mom was calling around this morning to make sure everyone voted. I "THINK" they did... but there is only REAL PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF of two voters! And, although I am pretty sure McCain is not going to win, and Obama will reign, we still got to make our voice heard.

well. I just thought I would say that I think my family is pretty special. Our cousin Kasey's litle girl is really sick and in the hospital. I called home tonight just in time to get in on a family prayer they were having for her. Mom put me on speakerphone and said "we are all on our knees connie, are you?" I got on my knees and listened as my brother Joe offered up the family prayer on behalf of the little one. Oh what a blessing the gospel is in our family! I am so lucky to have them in my life.

Yea! I made a blog so I can stay in touch with la familia. I love surfing their blogs, and I of course need to keep up with my magical fam so I am up in here too. So... much to say! I guess. This weekend I spent in fabulous CALIFORIA!! My friend Kim, also known to the peeps as Kim "the gym" got us tickets to So You Think You Can Dance! It was amazing. We had floor seats! What a treat!
